Aachen, 2013/01/01: KISTERS has announced the release 11.4 of the 3DViewStation. The KISTERS 3DViewStation is known for the modern user-interface, high performance 3D-viewing, current and mature CAD-importers plus a reasonable set of functional tools to view, analyze and communicate 3D-data.
Enhancements of the V11.4 include updates of the importers to read Catia V5 R22, Catia V6 2013, Solidworks 2013 and SolidEdge ST5. A new importer has been added to support 3D-PDF reading. Together with the 3D-PDF export option the Kisters 3DViewStation now allows reading and writing of 3D-PDF plus offers the same complex set of functions to analyze 3D-PDF as customers are demanding for i.e. Catia or NX.
In order to be able to load complex assemblies at all you need to be able to define search paths. 3DViewStation provides reasonable default settings for searching, which now have been extended by the possibility to define several additional relative or absolute search paths. In the area of selections, which is traditionally a powerfull one of 3DViewStation, a new function has been added: by clicking of an object in the graphics pane repeatedly that the selection will be extended like moving up the model tree level by level. Finally there a two new analysis function for volume and surface, which can be leveraged once a model has been loaded in BREP mode.
The new features of 3DViewStation can be reviewed in our BLOG.
All enhancements of the KISTERS 3DViewStation are available in the Desktop version as well as in the ActiveX integration component, which is intended to be used together with a PLM- or other management system. Now 3D-PDF files can also be used in combination with the intelligent navigation- and hyperlinking features to address needs of complex integration scenarios.
Many customers appreciate the extremely short load-times of the KISTERS 3DViewStation. But besides performance it is important to continuously keep the CAD-importers current. The KISTERS 3DViewStation proofs this i.e. by supporting latest Catia, Creo, NX, Inventor, SolidWorks, JT and STEP, just to name a few. Besides a reasonable set of viewing and analysis functions 3DViewStation provides exports, into i.e. STEP and 3D-PDF (both U3D and PRC-flavors).
The KISTERS 3DViewStation V11 is developed very close to customer requirements, available as Desktop and ActiveX product-version, 32-bit and 64-bit, shipping with a modern and intuitive Office 2010 compliant user-interface. There are seat and floating licenses available.
