There are many uses cases where views are used: not only pre-defined by CAD (e.g. PMI-views), but also views authored by 3DViewStation users. Use cases might include but are not limited to:
- prepare a review meeting with your team
- record topics / issues with you CAD data during a meeting
- inspect your data in order to prepare your sales quoatation
- author work instructions for the shop floor
- author repair instructions
- author exploded views incl. balloons for service applications and spare part catalogs
- save analysis results, e.g. wall thickness, clash detection, clearance or curvature
- create views for nice renderings of an assembly by applying materials or textures
- create views using background images or sky boxes
Once starting working with views you might end up having many, which might make it difficult to keep the overview.
3DViewStation v2025.0 will simplify that by allowing to organize views in groups. Just create a new group, add news views inside that group of move existing views from another group into this group. As we show thumbnails of each view this is very easy to accomplish. Finally groups can be collapsed in order to hide them or can be expanded again.
