Node locked licenses are tied to the hardware of a specific PC. The license type Activation is displayed if the node locked license is provided via an activation key.
In comparison with the file-based license, a license activation has the advantage that the user or system administrator can deactivate the license independently and therefore undo the tie to a specific PC. This license can then be tied to a different PC.
Each license under maintenance can be deactivated and reactivated twice per maintenance year free of charge. You will therefore have 10 re-activations per annum if you have purchased 5 licenses. In other words: each workstation can be replaced twice or a single workstation 10 times.

Please note that the license must be deactivated before changing PCs or changing an activated system. Otherwise this activation expires and is no longer available to you!
